What is the current and next Genshin Impact banner?

Find out how long the current Genshin Impact banner will last and who you’ll be able to pull for on the next banner if you save your primogems

Genshin Impact banners adhere to a pretty regular schedule. Each update arrives with a new banner that lasts around three weeks, and after it expires, it’s followed by a second banner which also lasts roughly three weeks, at which point it’s update time once again.

Wondering what the next Genshin Impact banner is? Even though we hear rumours of new Genshin Impact characters arriving in forthcoming updates, we won’t know their exact release date until we know which banner they will be a part of, and whether it’ll be the first or second banner in the update. Occasionally, banners don’t stick to this schedule – most notably, update 1.3 had three two-week banners, so that Hu Tao’s banner didn’t cross over with the Chinese New Year.

Typically, each limited character banner – or Event Wish – contains a five-star character, and three four-star characters. There’s also a Weapon banner – Epitome Invocation – which runs alongside each character banner, and features different weapons each time. Here’s everything you need to know about the current and upcoming Genshin Impact banners.

GENSHIN IMPACT CURRENT EVENT BANNER

The current Genshin Impact banners are Reign of Serenity and Drifting Luminesence. They will run from March 8, 2022 for 21 days, ending on March 29.

Reign of Serenity features:

Drifting Luminesence features:

Ganyu, the Cyro Archer in Genshin Impact

GENSHIN IMPACT CURRENT WEAPON BANNER

The Genshin Impact weapon pity system gives you the chance to pull a five-star weapon on the current weapon banner. The featured items in the current Epitome Invocation are:

  • Engulfing Lightning (five-star)
  • Everlasting Moonglow (five-star)
  • Akuoumaru
  • Mouun’s Moon
  • Lion’s Roar
  • Favonius Lance
  • Sacrifical Fragments
Genshin Impact character Ayato is holding a watery sword.

NEXT GENSHIN IMPACT BANNER

The next Genshin Impact banner is likely to be Ayato, Ayaka’s older brother. Current rumours suggest he will be the on the first banner in 2.6. Make sure you keep up to date with everything we know about the Ayato banner release date, as well as Ayato’s Ascension materials.

Notable Genshin Impact leaker Lumie has also suggests that there will be another banner running concurrently with Ayato – a Venti rerun. They posted a picture of both Ayato and Venti next to each other with a follow up that simply says “first half, btw”.

GENSHIN IMPACT UPCOMING EVENT BANNERS

Another rumour – this time from Twitter user Ubatcha – suggests Kazuha and Yoimiya rerun banners in 2.6, though they describe this rumour as “questionable” and can’t confirm it themselves.
