How to Solo Kill Geo Hypostasis in Genshin Impact

Geo Hypostasis in Genshin Impact: Where to Find and How to Win? [гайд] - Aroged

All elements in Genshin Impact have a specific boss. For Geo, you’ll have to defeat Geo Hypostasis to get Geo’s ascension materials and specific artifact sets. This guide will explain the best strategy for dealing with the boss and the rewards you can get from it.

Party ingredients

The best ingredient for this fight is to have 1 healer and 1 physical damage user. Almost all characters can deal a good amount of elemental damage, and Hypostasis bosses die faster with more elemental damage when their cores are exposed. Geo Hypostasis’s elite boss is different from other elements because of the way totem turrets are immune to elemental damage.

Strong and fast melee weapons will be the best character choice against turrets so just focus on using your strongest character as you won’t need to cycle between characters to have their elemental skills for the totem turrets.

Destroy Totem Towers

Boss Geo Hypostasis spawns 4 totem turrets around the arena. One of the totem turrets will be in the middle of the arena at the start, the best one to destroy first. The reason why you need to destroy these turrets is because the boss teleports on top of these turrets, which essentially gives them immunity.

Like all Hypostasis bosses, Geo Hypostasis will perform an attack and reveal its core behind it. You need to take down the turrets to get the core exposed in the arena. If you destroy at least 2 or 3 totem turrets and you find the core exposed, I still recommend looking for the totem turrets instead of running back and forth towards the boss when its core is exposed and the turrets remaining nest.

A great trick for destroying these turrets is to sprint or dodge after your combo’s final attack so you can skip the animation and jump straight to attack again.

All attacks are easily dodged except for one. Boss has an attack that causes totem turrets to emit around them that can knock out any character in just a few seconds. The trick here is that the boss will also spawn a Geo block that hovers near one of the remaining totem turrets. It only takes a few hits to destroy and it will create a barrier protecting you from the impulses. You can check this out at 3:43 in the video above.

Once all the turrets are destroyed, you can only focus on dodging attacks and waiting for the core to expose and unload it. The boss Geo Hypostasis will reappear with the same number of totem turrets and maintain the first strategy.

Maximize elemental damage on the core of the cube

In teamfights, you will rarely use attribute skills while destroying turrets. This is great because when the core is exposed you will have all your elemental skills active and spin through all your characters in the party and completely melt the core every time it is exposed .

Once you get used to its attacks, you can dash towards it after the attack animation before the core is even exposed so you can unleash more elemental attacks and skills above it.

The final stage will be the totem pillar and not the core

When a Hypostasis boss takes critical damage when its core is exposed, it will trigger a final stage where it will teleport towards the middle and split. Geo Hypostasis is unique because it doesn’t split the core of the cube but instead spawns 3 totem pillars in the middle.

These turrets are easier to destroy because they have less HP than the previous ones you destroyed. With good enough stats on the main damage dealer, you can easily take care of these turrets.

If you fail to destroy all 3 turrets, the boss will be healed and you will return to the first stage and possibly destroy another stage of the totem turrets across the arena. However, if you crit damage again to trigger the final phase again, the only turrets that will appear are the ones you can’t destroy.

Geo Hypostasis Drops

The drops from the Geo Hypostasis boss are as follows, and they vary greatly depending on the world difficulty level you’re in and what the boss’s current level is.

  • Prithiva Topaz tier 2 to 5 (Silver, Shard or Gem)
  • Basalt Pillar
  • Traveling Doctor Artifacts Set
  • Instructor Artifact Set
  • Exile Artifact Kit
  • Gladiator’s Finale Artifacts
  • The set of artifacts of the Gypsy group

Conclusion

Geo Hypostasis is one of the hardest Hypostasis elite bosses in Teyvat. Not only that, the arena is located quite far from the reference point and playing in co-op mode can also make it difficult for players to return to the arena after dying mid-match. The only reason it’s difficult is because of the rush of the boss attack. Once you learn to dodge, this boss can be completed easily.
