Glass shards: How to defrost crystals?
Required for mountain quests
3 shards need to be located to complete the quest “In the Mountains”. This quest will be unlocked when you talk to the genshin impact search for fragments near the geo
Use red quartz to melt crystals
Destroy the red rocks to get the Scarlet Quartz and you will be surrounded by a red halo. Attack the crystal while in that aura to damage it.
Melt all segments: segment position
Position 1: Frost tree
Go to the location on the map above to find the crystal. You will easily find this crystal when exploring Dragonspine.
Location 2: Starglow Cavern
Starglow Cavern is located southwest of Dragonspine Peak.

The next crystal location is inside the Starglow Cavern. The glass is protected by a shield, so be sure to remove the shield before proceeding.
Follow the Fire Seelies to unlock the barrier
There will be 3 statues in front of the area that could house the floating fish. Send seelies home to unlock chests and Crystals.
Location 3: Burial City – Suburbs
Location on the outskirts of the buried city
The outskirts of the buried city lie to the west of the Dragonspine Peak.

Head to the outskirts of Entombed City to find the next location. It’s close to a waypoint, so it’s hard to miss.
Go inside the hole surrounded by frozen totems
The next crystal location is underground. To find it, you must go to the hole surrounded by Cryo Totems. There will be a lot of enemies inside, so get ready for battle.
